You gotta love this place!

General information: Medium sized Hotel on outskirts of northwest L'Aquila, at the foot of a small mountain. DO NOT let its location dissuade you!! This place is great! Nothing bad to say. Food is terrific. Staff extremely friendly and accommodating. We came as a group of 8, 2 parents with 4 adult kids and 2 significant others. We had a great time at this hotel. The parents had stayed here before once, and we made it a central point to come back to stay here again. Location and surroundings: On outskirts of northwest L'Aquila, near Amiternum ancient amphitheatre. 1+ kilometer walk to shopping center. On a bus route. By no means is it in the stix. Service: Absolutely outstanding. Roberto, the owner is always around and willing to help you do/find anything he can. He is dedicated to making sure everything is done right so that guests are happy. His personal touch is one of the real benefits of this hotel. Great guy. Staff takes after Roberto's example, and are all extraordinarily friendly, they try to meet your every need, and they go out of their way to be sure your stay is optimal. Dining: Food is so good you needn't go anywhere else in L'Aquila for dinner. Great variety, excellent wine selection, good service, and they occasionally bring you stuff courtesy of the house, and it's great. Incredibly good breakfast. Room: Rooms are fine. Not hugely fancy but comfortable and very clean. By American standards rooms are on the small side, but by European standards, they are average size. Plenty of space to be comfortable. Internet and TV worked well. Useful tips: You simply cannot beat this hotel for value for your money. Prices are unbelievably reasonable, and considering the quality of the food and staff, you cannot go wrong here. When I come back to Abruzzo, you can bet I will stay here again.
